Refund & Cancellation Policy

Important: We do not sell physical goods. We provide digital subscription-based services through our products Storyero and Myco Site.

1. Introduction

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms and conditions for refunds and subscription cancellations for services provided by Mightain Technologies Ltd ("Mightain," "we," "us," or "our").

This policy applies to all digital subscription services offered through our products:

  • Storyero (www.storyero.ai) - AI-driven audio story platform
  • Myco Site (myco.site) - AI-powered website builder

2. Nature of Our Services

Our services are digital, subscription-based products delivered electronically. Once you subscribe and gain access to our services, you receive immediate access to digital content and features. Due to the nature of digital services, refunds are handled differently than physical products.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 General Refund Policy

As a general rule, once payment has been processed and you have been granted access to our services, refunds are not provided. This is because:

  • Digital services are delivered immediately upon payment
  • You gain instant access to features, content, and functionality
  • The nature of digital content makes it impossible to "return" once accessed

We may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following exceptional circumstances:

3.2.1 Technical Issues

If you experience significant technical problems that prevent you from accessing or using our services, and we are unable to resolve these issues within a reasonable timeframe, we may offer:

We will review your request and respond within 5-7 business days. If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10-14 business days.

3.4 Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:

  • Promotional or discounted subscriptions (unless due to technical issues on our end)
  • Credits, tokens, or virtual currency that have been used or partially used
  • Services that have been fully consumed or utilized
  • Subscriptions cancelled after the billing date for the current period

4. Subscription Cancellation Policy

4.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings on the respective product website (Storyero or Myco Site)
  • Contacting our customer support at info@mightain.com

4.2 Effect of Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Immediate Effect: Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period
  • Access Continuation: You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • No Refund: You will not receive a refund for the remaining time in your current billing period
  • Data Retention: Your account and data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy

4.3 Cancellation Timing

To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Cancellations made after the renewal date will apply to the following billing period.

4.4 Reactivation

If you cancel your subscription and later wish to reactivate it:

  • You can resubscribe at any time through your account
  • Your previous data and settings may be retained (subject to our data retention policies)
  • Current pricing will apply (which may differ from your previous subscription rate)

5. Free Trials and Promotional Periods

5.1 Free Trial Terms

If you sign up for a free trial:

  • You will not be charged during the trial period
  • You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged
  • If you do not cancel, you will be automatically charged for a subscription at the end of the trial
  • Trial periods are typically offered once per user

5.2 Promotional Pricing

Promotional pricing or discounts:

  • Apply only for the specified promotional period
  • Automatically revert to standard pricing after the promotional period ends
  • Cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated

6. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe on behalf of Mightain Technologies Ltd. For payment-related issues:

  • Contact us at info@mightain.com for subscription and billing questions
  • Payment disputes should be directed to us first before contacting your payment provider
  • We will work with you to resolve any payment-related concerns

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

7.1 Chargeback Policy

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider:

  • Your account may be immediately suspended pending investigation
  • We will provide evidence of service delivery to your payment provider
  • If the chargeback is found to be unjustified, your account may be permanently terminated
  • You may be liable for chargeback fees and legal costs

7.2 Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback. We are committed to resolving billing issues fairly and promptly. Most disputes can be resolved through direct communication.

8. Account Termination by Mightain

If we terminate your account due to violation of our Terms of Service:

  • No refund will be provided for the remaining subscription period
  • You will lose access to all services immediately
  • Your data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

9. Service Changes and Discontinuation

9.1 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services. If we make significant changes that materially reduce the value of your subscription, we will:

  • Provide advance notice when possible
  • Offer alternatives or comparable features
  • Consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis

9.2 Service Discontinuation

If we discontinue a service entirely, we will:

  • Provide at least 30 days' advance notice
  • Offer a pro-rated refund for any unused subscription time
  • Provide options for data export where applicable

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

If you are a consumer in the UK or European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local consumer protection legislation, including:

  • Right to cancel within a cooling-off period (typically 14 days for distance sales)
  • Right to a refund if services are not as described
  • Right to a remedy if services are faulty

These statutory rights are not affected by our refund policy.
